Being a mom is one of the toughest jobs out there.

It requires a lot of patience, love, and sacrifice.

But let’s be real, sometimes it can be overwhelming, stressful, and just plain old exhausting.

As a married Black mom of three, I know this all too well.

However, over the years I have found some amazing mom hacks that have helped me to save time, reduce stress, and take care of myself.

These are the things that have helped me to keep my sanity and enjoy motherhood.

This post is all about non-negotiable mom hacks.

1. Mobile Car Cleaner

My first mom hack is to invest in a mobile car cleaner.

This service comes to your home or office and thoroughly cleans your car, inside and out.

It’s a game changer for busy moms like me who don’t have the time or energy to take our cars to a traditional car wash.

Plus, it’s a small luxury that makes me feel like a boss every time I get into my sparkling clean car.

As a mom, I understand the importance of keeping my car clean and presentable, especially since it’s a shared space for my family and I.

That’s why I invested in a mobile car cleaning service.

The service comes to my house and takes care of everything from vacuuming and wiping down the interior, to washing and detailing the exterior.

I began this investment when my golden retriever threw up in the car the same week my husband was traveling, and I didn’t have the time or energy to do it myself.

It was a lifesaver and has been a great investment ever since.

It saves me time and ensures that my car is always clean and ready to go, which is especially important when unexpected guests or playdates come over.

2. Dog Poop Cleaning Service

As a mom of three, with two dogs and a large yard, I understand the importance of keeping my property clean and sanitary.

That’s why I started using a dog poop-cleaning service.

The service comes to my house on a regular basis and takes care of cleaning up any dog waste in my yard.

I started using Diamond State Pooper Scoopers (near me) because after giving birth to our third child (and with a major surgery six months later that prevented me from walking for an additional two months), I found it hard to keep up with the task of cleaning the yard on my own.

It was a lifesaver, not only did it keep my yard clean and safe for my children to play, but it also relieved me of the physical stress of having to do it myself while recovering.

It makes a big difference in my overall happiness and ability to show up as the best version of myself for my family.

3. Instacart

Grocery shopping with three kids in tow is a nightmare, so I rely on Instacart to do the heavy lifting.

With the Instacart app, I can order all my groceries online and have them delivered to my house within a matter of hours.

It’s a lifesaver for busy moms who don’t have the time or energy to drag their kids to the store.

As a mom, I understand the importance of making meal planning and grocery shopping as efficient and stress-free as possible.

That’s why I started using Instacart because I can order my groceries online from my local stores and deliver them right to my doorstep.

This has been a game-changer for me, especially during the pandemic when I tried to balance homeschooling my six-year-old and taking care of a new baby.

I have also tried other grocery delivery options, such as Walmart Grocery Pickup and Shipt, but Instacart has been the most convenient for me over the past four years.

Another huge mom hack, using discount codes—if you sign up through my link, you will receive $10 off your first order.

4. Hello Fresh

As a mom, I often struggle to come up with healthy and delicious meals for my family.

Admittedly, my kids (and I) love spaghetti, ramen, and fruit—all things I can provide, or cook, easily.

When I worked a 9-5, meal planning and preparation became tedious, because I would spend an hour in the kitchen.

I enjoy cooking, but I despised having to figure it out in advance since I’m not a meal prep kind of person.

That’s why I started using Hello Fresh for my weekly dinners.

Hello Fresh delivers all the fresh ingredients and recipes right to my doorstep, making meal planning and preparation a breeze.

It has not only saved me time and energy, but also allowed me to try new and delicious recipes that my whole family enjoys.

I have been using Hello Fresh for the past six years and have moved across multiple states, but the service has always been consistent and reliable.

I have tried all of their meal options and have never been disappointed.

This service has also prompted me to look into hiring a personal chef for special occasions like Valentine’s Day.

In the past, I have hired a personal chef to plan a special Valentine’s Day dinner for my husband while I was pregnant with our second baby (during the pandemic when restaurants had altered hours).

It was a special treat and allowed me to relax and enjoy the evening without having to worry about cooking or cleaning up.

If you want to try Hello Fresh, I have a code that will give you $80 off your first order.

Trust me, it’s worth trying, at the very least.

5. Online Shopping

One of my favorite mom hacks is utilizing online shopping.

It’s not a normal day if there isn’t an Amazon package out front.

I use online shopping to replace some bulk grocery items like laundry pods, dog food, etc.

I also like to shop on Amazon last minute for items I might need for school projects, spirit weeks, and school holidays.

This way I can make sure that I always have these essential items on hand, and I don’t have to worry about running out or making a last-minute trip to the store.

But I also love to shop at Shein because of the convenience and deals.

I can quickly shop for my kids and their constantly changing sizes and save money with their deals.

I have a code for Shein that will give you an extra 15% off your first order.

Shopping online has made my life so much easier, and I never have to leave the house.

Additionally, I’ve found that online shopping has helped me be a more intentional and mindful consumer.

I can take the time to research products, read reviews and ensure I’m getting the best value for my money.

6. Laundry Delivery Service

Anyone who knows me personally knows how much I loathe putting away the laundry.

I absolutely love having clean and fresh clothes, especially with three littles, but having the time to put it all away is a nightmare.

I know we’ve all experienced stacks of folded laundry just to be knocked over or taken apart by toddlers.

So, I decided to try out a laundry service.

I have been using the Folds laundry service for the past six months, and it has been a lifesaver.

The CleanCloud app makes scheduling quick and easy; they come weekly to pick up my laundry.

If you sign up now, you can get your free $10.00 credit on your first online order with the code WCIY7.

Just download the CleanCloud app (https://clean.cloud) and select FOLDS.

The best part is that my laundry is returned to me two days later, folded and ready to put away.

This service was especially helpful after I gave birth to our third child and had major surgery.

I could not do laundry for a few weeks, and the Folds team stepped in to take care of it for me.

It was such a relief to not have to worry about laundry during that difficult time.

I highly recommend Folds laundry service to any busy mom looking for a little extra help.

Plus, I was happy to know that the company I was using in my area was black-owned, and the people were the friendliest ever.

7. Cleaning Company

I have to admit I am not the cleanliest person out there.

I have struggled with it for a long time, but with a large house and so many tiny feet (furry and non) running around, sometimes I need a fresh start to get our house back in order without the stress.

I have been using a cleaning service for the past three years, and it has been a game changer.

The cleaning team comes every three months and does a deep cleaning of my entire house.

They clean the bathrooms, kitchen, living areas, and bedrooms.

They even vacuum and mop the floors.

It’s amazing to come home to a clean house without having to lift a finger.

Our cleaners actually own the Folds laundry service mentioned above!

Needless to say, their customer service is top-tier, because we’re utilizing both of their black-owned businesses.

There is NOTHING wrong with feeling overwhelmed with keeping their house clean.

Don’t let parents, in-laws, or even Pinterest make you feel guilty for getting a kick start when you need it.
