how to submit to your husband

Society has it backward.

Or maybe you and I have been brainwashed.

If you’re on the journey of learning how to submit to your husband, sometimes you just have to know where to look.

We all want to be a better wives, but how do you get there?

It can be difficult to know what books to read or where to start.

That’s why I’ve decided to compile this list of seven resources for women who want to become better wives.

They’ll help you understand the importance of having a biblical perspective on marriage and how we can create an environment where our husbands flourish as individuals and as members of their families.

how to submit to your husband

This post is all about how to submit to your husband.

*DISCLAIMER*

The books on this list are admittedly contradictory at times, but also incredibly insightful.

The books below are NOT a perfect prescription to remedy yourself, your husband, or your marriage.

The art of learning how to submit to your husband is knowing when and what advice to take to best apply it to your marriage.

Submission is only sexy when it’s not forced, by either person.

1. The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands by Dr. Laura Schlessinger

I was a pretty good wife. I cooked, cleaned and helped my husband in any way that I could.

Then, one day, I read The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands.

This book is a must-read for all wives if you want to learn how to submit to your husband.

The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands will teach you how to submit to your husband, raise children well and look after yourself so that you can enjoy the best years of your life as his wife!

Dr. Laura Schlessinger, who has been married to her husband for over 30 years, shares advice on how to be a better wife and mother in this book.

This book gave me a new perspective on my role as a wife and made me realize that there is more to being married than just serving your husband.

It taught me how important it is for wives to love their husbands unconditionally and without reservation—and how much more fulfilling life can be when we do so!

2. Love and Respect by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs

This book is a must-read for every wife, but especially those who are looking to improve their marriage by learning how to submit to your husband.

The author describes how love is the most important thing that you can give your spouse, but she also stresses that it takes two people to make a relationship work.

She explains why respect is so important in a marriage, and gives helpful tips on how to show your husband or wife respect in order to keep the spark alive between you!

In addition to being informative and entertaining, I loved reading about all these different ways of showing each other love.

This book gives practical advice on how husbands should act toward their wives—and vice versa!

It’s full of suggestions from experts on what works best: whether it be taking away your phone during dinner so you aren’t distracted by social media…

Or keeping track of household expenses together instead of doing them individually…

Or even just complimenting each other regularly without expecting anything back except an appreciation for being with them 24/7.

3. Mama Bear Apologetics: Empowering Your Kids to Challenge Cultural Lies by Hillary Morgan Ferrer

If you’re looking for solid answers about the Bible’s teachings on submission, this book is for you!

This book was written to help Christian mothers defend their faith.

This book is full of biblical truths that will help you defend your faith no matter where you are in life or what questions people ask you about God and Christianity.

It’s perfect for women who have been Christians all their lives but need some tips on how to defend themselves and their beliefs when facing tough questions from others who don’t share their faith.

Or for those who are newer to Christianity and want to get started with their faith journey.

But, this book is also amazing for reparenting yourself as you learn how to submit to your husband.

If you were raised in a conservative “sex is evil until marriage” Christian culture (as I’m sure the majority of us were), this book equips you with the conversational piece to better guide your children.

4. The Excellent Wife by Martha Peace

The Excellent Wife by Martha Peace is a great resource for wives who want to be better wives.

It’s also a great resource for husbands who want to be better husbands.

The book will teach you how to submit to your husband and how your husband can love you even more than he already does!

The Excellent Wife offers great advice including making sure your husband knows he can always come to you with his problems.

She also explores conversation like asking him what he would like out of life as well as making sure that his needs are met by making sure he has food in the house.

I highly recommend this book if you want to learn more about being a godly woman or man in general, but especially if you are interested in marriage and family life.

5. The Great Sex Rescue: The Lies You’ve Been Taught and How to Recover What God Intended by Sheila Wray Gregoire

This book discusses how to submit to your husband without being a doormat.

It explains why submission is sexy, and it’s an enjoyable read that will leave you wanting more.

This book is a great read for every woman, especially those who want to learn how to submit to your husband.

In it, you’ll find everything from how to prepare yourself and your husband for sex, to tips on how to be more sensitive during lovemaking.

Sheila Wray Gregoire shares her personal story of how she found a godly man, and how she was able to submit to him in order to become a better wife.

She also talks about the importance of mastering how to submit to your husband as a husband should submit to God.

This is not only an important book for wives, but also for husbands who want their wives to submit.

6. The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman

I’m going to be honest: when I first started dating my husband, I didn’t know what the heck a love language was.

But it changed everything!

The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman is like a Rosetta Stone of relationships.

It helps you understand how to communicate with your husband, and how to make sure that what he’s getting from you is what he wants.

It’s just so helpful.

I know that sounds really simple and obvious, but if you’re anything like me, it can be hard to remember that your husband wants to feel loved in different ways than you do.

Sometimes we forget to tell our spouse “thank you” or “I love you” because it doesn’t come naturally for us—but that doesn’t mean we don’t care about them!

This book helps couples figure out what makes their spouse feel cared for, and then focuses on giving them those things as much as possible.

7. The Bible

The Bible teaches that sex is a beautiful thing, and it’s something we should embrace, not hide from our husbands.

The Bible talks about sex in a positive way, so we should be confident in our sexuality as wives and mothers.

We see that sex is an important part of marriage and honestly, it’s the single best book on this list to explain how to submit to your husband.

There are so many books and verses in the Bible that explain the love and treasure of how to properly love each other in marriage.

The ultimate phsyical act of love through sex helps us stay connected with each other in a way that goes beyond just talking or spending time together.

It goes beyond just saying “I love you” or “thank you” and far beyond just being friends or even having fun together.

The Bible teaches how sex is a great thing!

We should have an open attitude towards sex so that we can experience it fully with our husbands.

It doesn’t need to be hidden away from our kids as if it’s a taboo topic.

Instead, it should be talked about openly (when appropriate) as part of a loving marriage relationship between husband and wife—just like any other aspect of life together!

This post was all about how to submit to your husband.

I hope that you found these books helpful and will be able to use them to become a better wife.

I’m not only talking about spiritual leadership here but also about your marriage relationship with your husband.

As I mentioned before, there are many ways that we can improve ourselves as wives and mothers, so don’t hesitate to try something new especially when it goes against cultural norms.
